Projects
EDRWeb
The Electronic Drug Resistant Tuberculosis software (EDRWeb) is web-based software that allows authorized users to access a central database and enter data for drug-resistant (DR) TB units. EDRWeb is used by National Department of Health (NDoH) and other partners for the surveillance and management of DR-TB. The software is implemented in more than 800 DR-TB units throughout the 9 provinces of South Africa.
EDRWEb-PVIMS Integration
South Africa developed a comprehensive Active safety monitoring and management of TB drugs (aDSM) roadmap and NDoH has been working with various stakeholders to move the plan forward. To achieve its objectives, a software development project was required to integrate the PharmacoVigilance Monitoring System PViMS system with EDRWeb where adverse drug reactions data will be shared, analysed and communicated back to ERDWeb for decision making.
TIER.NET
The TIER.Net system, previously known as the HIV eRegister, captures data elements and resulting indicators (based on the WHO paper registers) required to monitor HIV, TB, and ART services. Monthly and quarterly reports can be generated, with data encrypted dispatch files transferred to higher management levels (e.g. provinces or national) for further analysis. The system also supports WHO reports, such as: WHO Cohort and WHO Cross Sectional Monthly Reports.
